DeKeydrick Curry, also know as DK, is an aspiring cinematographer. Born in Seattle, WA moving to Memphis TN at the age of three. He discovered his passion for filmmaking during his senior year of high school. Tapping into his hidden passion for storytelling, only fueled his fire. Moving to San Francisco, CA in 2011, DeKeydrick started his studies at the Art institute of California, San Francisco where he learned the art of filmmaking and gained a strong network through friends. 2013 DeKeydrick dropped out of school for financial reasons, but that didn’t stop his passion for filmmaking going on to acting and camera operating some parts of “On The Court” with Eduardo Castrillo of Uncia Films to Director of Photography of the movie “Hunting Season” with Eduardo where he met, Where Media Meets, meeting Ramasses Head, Pharoah Powell, James Rockefeller, Damon Hart and Ed Sparks. He would go on to Director of Photography for “Fear & Love” and “The Leather Coat” (feature) with Director/Producer/Writer, Pharoah Powell and “ The Rapture” with Monique Dismuke. To even gaffer/key grip of “Worth”, Eduardo Castrillo and “StrongHawk: My Sisters Keeper” with Ramasses Head. In between DeKeydrick has filmed many of events including second cam operator for Googles Howard West project. DeKeydrick has gone through many of trials but never has let that get in the way of his passion. Driven by the desire to inspire other people of color there’s another way of telling your story.
